Dealing with Grief

I woke up this morning to some upsetting news and functioning seems to be an issue. I'm hungry but I cannot eat. I am tired but I cannot sleep. I want to work out but I don't. It's completely miserable. I know I should probably not be writing this but I need to do something. And I'm wondering how does anyone deal with grief.

Does it affect your eating habits? Do you eat more? Less? Am I the only one who feels lost?

Erin, I'm so sorry! I have dealt with two big deaths, so I know how hard it can be. I know this is totally lame advice, but talking to someone always helps me. Don't be worried that a friend or family member will get sick of hearing your story ONE more time. They won't. It totally helps. Going on a walk AND talking about it is the best. You get a litle therapy session while you burn calories. I'm actually writing about one of my losses tomorrow. I hope in some way it helps you. Stay tuned. xoxo

Ellen, thanks for your comment! I took a day to toally just veg. Talked on the phone, ate junk food and just remembered really good times with my friend Dave. Also, drank Coors light in rememberance of him since he worked for them. The next day I was back to my workout routine. I'm hoping since I spent a day just wallowing that will be it and I won't spread it out too much...
