Last chance to enter the I WON A PRIZE SO YOU SHOULD TOO! giveaway. And yes, I just named the giveaway on the last day. For those of you not in the know, that would be a $20 gift certificate to One More Mile. Hop on that with a quickness.
Also, tomorrow I head to Boston for a weekend with Team Challenge complete with a 13.1 mile run....YIKES.
And finally, I leave you with a question. This week has been a rough one for me in terms of getting my ass out of bed and working out. Luckily its been a taper week but it still concerns me that I've been so tired and sluggish even with the extra 2 hours of sleep I'm getting due to not hitting the gym. Yes, the question is coming. Anyway, I'm hoping some of you guys can help me out by telling me what you do to get a pick me up when sleep is NOT an option? How do you break a funk? I'm super concerned since next week I will be in a different locale AND coming off my half marathon. When I return home, will I still have the drive that carried me up until this week?

Good luck in Boston! I am considering doing the Team Challenge for the half in Vegas in December. Crazy!!
For a pick me up, I stick to good old fashioned Starbucks coffee. And, you can always break a funk by listening to good music or having some CHOCOLATE!!!!
Good Luck in Boston!!!
As to the reason you have been so tired, it might be that you are getting too much sleep. Earlier this year I read that people who sleep too much tend to be overweight, so I started sleeping 8 hours exactly every night. While I still weigh the same, I am not nearly as tired as a I used to be. However, if I don't get a good 8 hours, I am crap the next day.
Maybe try waking up at the same time you did when you were going to the gym. And if you are dealing with a lack of motivation, maybe a workout buddy would help. I know I don't work out at all unless I meet up with a friend.
Hope you get our of the funk soon. :)
Tanya, I thought of that but honestly I was getting 7 hours of sleep. This week I have just been dealing with a lot and I think maybe the stress is what is driving this funk. Unfortunately, I also think my body is trying to tell me it's trying to handle too much. Maybe all this rest will help in the end?
I really just need some kind of mid-day pick me up that isn't a 5 hour energy or coffee...
