Day 9- January 12,2010

Well, I did it. I signed up for another 1/2 Marathon. I know you are thinking I'm absolutely crazy but if I could do it with almost no training and finish in 2:39 then I can sure as shit finish in 2:30 this time around with training. Once again I am going with Team Challenge and raising money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Click here for a link to my page- donate if you can or pass the word along!

breakfast Turkey Bacon, Egg and Cheddar on a honey wheat english muffin. My neighbor downstairs probably wanted to kill me when the fire alarm went off. WTF is the deal that every time I make eggs I set it off? Even at my parents house.

lunch Jason's Deli- whoop whoop. I love meeting days! This time I went with the Club Lite and a side of fruit (you know how much I adore their fruit cup). Anyway, the sandwich weighs in at 515 calories with 17 g of fat, 51 g of carbs, and 44g of protein. The 44 grams of protein is what really got me going.

snack hummus with crackers

dinner Chicken marinated in hot sauce over lettuce with cucumber, carrot, tomato, cheddar cheese and ranch dressing. And, yes, I set off BOTH fire alarms this time and had to open all the windows. I am positive my neighbor hates me and wants to murder me now.

Day 2- January 5, 2010

I know, I'm a day late. I was EXTREMELY productive last night which resulted in me being unable to blog. I'm sorry! So I am going to try to remember everything. Suffice to say, I remember eating M&Ms (I said I have no self control!) but that should be the last of the Christmas candy. If I behave myself this weekend, I should be good.

breakfast Cheddar Cheese, Turkey Bacon, Tomatoes on a high fiber english muffin with a glass of grapfruit juice

snack crackers with Peanut Butter

lunch We had a meeting at work today but I was well-behaved. I checked the menu out before we ordered lunch and picked out a healthy meal from Jason's Deli. Clocking in at 342 calories, the Mediterranean Wrap is a new addition to the Jason's Deli menu. And delicious I might add! With Turkey, Kalamata Olives, Hummus, Field Greens, Tomato and Onion this is a healthy alternative to the 500+ calorie salads I usually pick out. I added some fresh fruit and Jason's does it up. Strawberries, pineapple, apples and grapes. None of the crap I can't stand. Anyway, back to the wrap: 14 g of fat. They leave off everything else I'm interested in which KIND of pisses me off but I felt good about my choice. I drank water with it.

snack hummus with wheat thins

dinner Salad with grilled shrimp, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese and balsalmic vinaigrette. YUM. Drank a glass of milk with this

dessert M& Ms

The 2nd day of the Fitness Challenge was cardio. I chose a workout on the treadmill called the countdown and have broken it down for you here. Afterward, I felt great. Nice and sweaty! I hopped on the bike for 30 minutes and read some of a new book I started on my flight home from Jersey. All in all it was a great workout day!

Utilizing Fitday.com

Hello! I spent today jumping around on Fitday.com so I could share Day 1 of the experience with you and you could decide if it was the site for you! I've got to tell you I am loving it!

Food Diary:
breakfast YoCrunch

snack orange

lunch Jason's Deli Ranchero Wrap (whooooaaaa buddy!) I love places like Jason's Deli that allow you to look up the nutrition information. It helps me make a great decision. I always feel wary about a place that does not list it on the website or immediately respond to inquiries about their nutrition facts.

snack Weight Watchers toffee crunch ice cream

dinner Lean Pocket Chicken and Artichoke dinner

Calorie Intake: 1612. My goal for each day is to ingest 1642 so I did good today! YAY!

Breakdown:
Fat 71.2 g
Carbs 180.4 g
Protein 79.2 g

Could be worse but definitely could be a lot better...something to work on!

Workout- 40 minute bike ride. Then I got distracted by Scrabble with my dad so no weights :(
